Stallions at Stud

About purebred Friesian stallions

The breeding and registration of purebred Friesian horses is regulated by the Friese Paarden Stamboek (FPS) in the Netherlands. Although crossbreeding is not forbidden by the FPS (and the Australian Friesian Horse Society (AFHS), its affiliate), it is not encouraged. Until recently, AFHS members were not allowed to advertise or promote cross breeding. Recent rule changes mean that AFHS members can now advertise their stallion for cross breeding.

Advertising is available to both AFWHS members and non-members.

Advertising of stllions with the Australian Friesian Warmblood Horse Society (AFWHS) is free for AFWHS members (membership costs just $30 per year), and costs $40 per year for non-members (this includes advertising in the AFWHS newsletter and website).
