Online Photo Show

Rules

• Entrants must be residents of Australia.
  
• Show begins 15 October 2006. Entries are displayed on the website www.afwhs.com/photoshow after payment has been received. Entries close 31 March 2007 (extended!!!). Judging will commence as soon after the closing date as is convenient for the judges, ideally no later than 2 weeks after the closing date. The date and time of judging will be advertised on this web site. Judges decision is final.
  
• Entries cost $2 per class. **Discount offer** Payment of $10 will allow ONE HORSE to enter as many classes as you wish, either with the same or different photos. Payment may be made by direct deposit, cheque or money or via Paypal. Instructions are on the entry form.
  
• Ribbons will be awarded to 3rd place. Rosettes for Champion and Supremes. Rosettes will be given for Reserve Champion where sufficient entries.
  
• Classes may be split or combined depending on the number of entries. Additional classes may be added if sufficient interest.
  
• Wins/places do not count towards hi-point awards.
  
• Because of the difficulty of getting good photos of your horse, official riding attire not required but riders should be safe, neat and tidy. You can use photos taken anywhere; they don’t have to be at a show. You need to obtain the permission of the copyright holder (usually the photographer). Professional photographers may charge a small fee for the use of the photo. If the copyright holder is a professional it is essential you supply their name so a photo credit can be placed with the photo. Photos marked ‘Proof’ will not be accepted. No photos to be reproduced from the website without the permission of the copyright owner.
  
• Horse must be, or have been, owned or leased by the person entering at the timethe photo was taken. You may enter with a borrowed horse as long as it is you personally riding or handling the horse. No submitting photos of Ulla Saltzgaber in the 'performance horse' class. We're on to you!
  
• Age of horse taken from 1st August of the year the photo was taken. Age of rider taken from date of photo. Old photos allowed, so you can roll back time! Enter your horse in cutest foal, even if he is now 20 or sadly no longer with us. Or you can enter a photo of yourself on your first pony, even if you are now on a hack.
  
• The same photo may be entered in multiple classes. The same horse may not enter the same class twice, unless they had different owners. This rule does not apply to classes B40 and B41 as photo is being judged not the horse.
  
• Photos may be cropped or resized by the webmaster as necessary so the web pages download easily.
  
• Photos must not have been digitally altered except for the specified class for this (Class B40). Cropping of photos is allowed.
  
• Not only can you bring your dog, you can let it off the leash!!
  
• BREED SOCIETIES or individuals can sponsor their own breed ring where membership and registration is required. Standard sets of classes as follows. Special classes can also be arranged.
